About SLISbits: This site’s intent is to help those in higher education environments find useful information concerning tablet and mobile computing. Lighthearted tech information is included for fun and edutainment.

A bit About SLIS: The School of Library and Information Science of the University of South Carolina is located in Columbia, SC.  Its ALA accredited program is ranked nationally at #5 for School Library Media, #11 for Services for Children and Youth and #18 overall by U.S. News & World Report (2013).

The FastTrack Cohort program permits students to earn the MLIS in 18 months, 100% online. There are three areas of specialization: Information Services, Library Services to Children and Young Adults, and Cultural Heritage Institutions.
